ACCEPT RELATIONSHIPS WITH INANIMATE FRIENDS

Our two-year-old Jack is obsessively attached to a long white cotton blanket, which he drags around the house. His twin sister, Elizabeth, has a small plastic screwdriver from which she will not be parted. Don’t think that your children are developing OCDs.

This is normal behaviour. It may not seem so when my son is trying to drag a blanket down a supermarket aisle, but usually I can persuade him to let it have a rest in the car.
